With this amount of dough you can make two pieces of bread.

Working method Rye Bread for soaking

To make a traditional Nordic Kernebrød it is important to use this Rye Bread as a base.

Soaking process (one day in advance)

    Mix all the ingredients together (see ingredient list) + the Rye Bread for soaking (350 grams)
      Let it rest covered with plastic at an ambient temperature the whole night (+/- 18 hours)

Working Method Kernebrød

Decoration before baking

Start baking at high temperature (260°C), fall directly down to 200°C. Bake for +/- 50 minutes.
